Mike Daneman
My name is Mike Daneman. I was trained in the classic style of manual drafting in the 1980’s. My design career began as a contractor at Bell Labs, hired to design datacenter floorplans. That is where I was introduced to their proprietary Computer Aided Design (CAD) system. It ran on a mainframe computer. Following the historic divestiture of AT&T in 1984. I was assigned to the spinoff company Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), where I became a permanent employee and worked there for the next twenty-seven years. My first objective, was to find a standalone CAD application, to replace the proprietary system at Bell Labs that we could no longer use. This led me to a new product known as AutoCAD® which became the industry standard. Throughout my career, I continued to use AutoCAD® .

Extraordinary Experiences
I’ve had the privilege to work for a few first class companies over four decades. My formal training was at Union Technical Institute, where I studied and practiced the principles needed to become a professional drafter. Once I became proficient in manual drawing, I was hired at my first design job in a high tech company. This is where I was introduced to CAD. I’ve been hooked ever since!
Fascinated with architecture, I enjoy working with builders, developers, and homeowners looking for ideas and concept drawings for their residential and commercial projects.
Core Values
I have always been passionate about drawing and creating projects from back in my high school days when the schools offered industrial arts curriculum. I enjoyed mechanical drawing and shop classes the guided me toward my chosen career.
